3 Habits of Successful People

"Do or do not, there is no try" - Jedi Master Yoda

In life there are results or crappy excuses, that's it. As a society in general we have gotten really good at making excuses for why we are not where we want to be in life. Understood that lives these days are jammed packed with work, family, kids, band practice, little league, I get it. We are constantly being pulled in a million different directions. Are you constantly finding that you're on the short end of the stick? Not getting the results that you think you should? If that's the case, maybe it's not for lack of trying but, because of lack of good habits. Habits and patterns pretty much dictate the direction that our life is going to take. With that said, it shouldn't come as a surprise that successful people have even more successful habits and routines. As an Entrepreneur it's going to be imperative that you develop good habits and stick to them like a religion.

Here's three to get you started.

Successful People Wake Up Early: Getting up early and attacking the day is a vital habit to develop. This is especially true if your business is in the "side hustle" or "part time" phase. Everyone has the same amount of hours in a day. CEO's aren't sleeping in till noon and than casually strolling into the office. They are up early, tackling problems, preparing for the day. They use those pre-office hours to focus on the day ahead. This could mean exercising, meditating, catching up on current events. The old saying "The early bird gets the worm" still holds true. Get up and get going. You'll be amazed at how much you can get done.

Successful People Set Goals ( & Achieve Them): Long-term goals are great and dreams keep you motivated however, what you get done today greatly affects how long it takes to achieve your future. Keep a Calendar, use it. log notes, meetings, daily reminders and then CHECK THEM OFF. If you're gonna be successful you are going to have to take MASSIVE action. Make goals just for the next day. Start there and build a routine.

Focus, Focus & Focus Some More: Don't get distracted. One of the biggest reasons people fail is because they take their eye off the prize. This isn't a get rich quick scheme. Your business is going to take tremendous amounts of time and dedication. Don't have a Website? Learn to build one! Need a Credit Card Merchant Account? Open one up! It's easy to get overwhelmed, relax, take a deep breath and realize that this is a marathon not a sprint. Keep working and hustling, use your time wisely and stay focused on your end result. You'll lean to live today like nobody wants to, so that you can live tomorrow, like nobody can. Establishing good habits can and will lead to effective performance and winning results.
